Erik Wisecup currently serves as the COO of Whaleshark, where he plays an instrumental role in all aspects of WS's holdings and advisory business lines and relationships. In this role, Erik specializes in the operational and technological aspects of WS's activities. Additionally, Erik is the Director of Operations at Black Powder Search, which focuses on connecting veterans of the special operations community with industry executives and hiring managers. Previously, he was the Head of Corporate and Investor Relations for Canaccord Genuity's Alternative Capital Team. In that capacity, he was the liaison between corporate clients, family offices, private equity, venture capital, and ultra-high net worth investors. Erik specializes in developing and executing a team's operational strategy, business development with corporate clients, crafting tailor-fit stories for corporate marketing to clearly shape their narrative, and developing relations with growth-focused investors.

Prior to joining CG, Erik served honorably in the U.S. Navy's Special Operations community and has collaborated and consulted with multiple companies and federal/university laboratories, specifically on R&D/T&E, product commercialization, and government contracting. Erik holds an M.S. from Columbia University and an MBA specializing in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
